Notes

  • Trained at home since I canceled my gym membership
  • Just one of them days...Felt super weak today!
  • I can't use my new power rack yet because the Olympic bar I purchased from Kijiji is 50" inside the sleeves and it won't fit properly inside the cage (it's 51" wide). I ordered a B&R bar from Rogue Canada but that won't be arriving until a few weeks.
  • My last training session was last Sunday and was busying moving most of last week.
  • It will probably be a few weeks until I get accustomed to training at home...especially when I don't have a proper bar that will fit in the power rack! So no back squats until I get the new Olympic bar...Grr...

Squatting strength has declined. Maybe it's because of missing a few volume days, or trying out a wider stance, or both.

I'm finding with the wider stance, it's getting temporarily stuck halfway as I ascend upwards. Also I'm feeling pretty exhausted after the set (of 1 rep!).

Now that I think of it, it's probably a combination of both missing volume days (I find that 5x5 really builds up my stamina) and attempting a wider stance.

Time to get back on the 5x5 protocol.
