Decided to do some low bar squatting today after a month or so of not doing it. Then decided to go for a 1RM lol.

Breathing Paused Low Bar Squat

  • 45 lb x 10
  • 140 lb x 5
  • 230 lb x 5
  • 320 lb x 3

Paused Low Bar Squat

  • 410 lb x 1

Low Bar Squat

  • 460 lb x 1
  • 500 lb x 1
  • 530 lb x 1
  • 560 lb x 1 * PR
    • +10 lb 1 rep max!
    • Was thinking of going for 565 lb for the bar aesthetics (4x45 lb and 1x35 lb on each side of the bar), but went for 560 lb just to stay on the safe side.

Paused High Bar Squat

  • 410 lb x 4,4,4,4

Ever since I started taking strength training seriously, I was bitten by the Iron Bug. Then it burrowed under my skin and laid eggs in my heart. Now those eggs are hatching and I... the feeling is indescribable.
